CNTDA SERVICES FOR Individuals & Families (DIY)

THE HONEST TRUTH
What Happens Without a Properly Executed Plan

Without a Will or Trust: The state decides who gets your assets. Families go through probate court – 6 to 24 months, $10,000–$50,000+ from your estate.

Without Power of Attorney: Your spouse may not access bank accounts during incapacity. A court must appoint someone to make decisions for you.

Without a Healthcare Directive: Strangers make life-or-death decisions. Your values don’t guide your end-of-life care.

THE EXCUSES WE TELL OURSELVES
What Are You Actually Waiting For?

  “I’m too young.”

Death doesn’t check your age. If you’re over 18 with anything to protect, you need these documents.

  “It’s too expensive.”

Dying without a plan is what’s expensive. Probate costs $10,000–$50,000+. ARTSA execution costs $200–$275.

“I’ll do it when I have more time.”

You will never have enough time. That’s why most people die without estate plans. Schedule 30 minutes this week.

✓  “It’s too complicated.”

This one is valid — and ARTSA can help. You don’t need a law degree or minimum net worth. Just pick a path.

Your Options - THREE PATHS TO GETTING IT DONE

Path 1 - ATTORNEY

Path 2 - ESTATE DOCUMENT COMPANY

Path 3 - DIY FORMS

Best for complex estates, blended families, business owners. $1,000–$5,000+. Customized legal guidance.

Straightforward estates, standard situations, $500–$2,000. Guided process with educational support.

Simple estates, very limited budgets, $100–$400. No guidance — easy to make mistakes.

ARTSA: Travels for the final signing or handles via RON where state law allows.

ARTSA: Provides professional CNTDA execution after your package is complete.

⚠️ ARTSA: Reviews for perceptible errors, from a notary’s perspective, not as an attorney/estate advisor, then executes.  Please Seek Skilled Advice!

DOCUMENT CHECKLIST

Do You Have What You Need?

Core documents — everyone needs these four:

  • Last Will and Testament — names guardians, distributes assets, names executor
  • Durable Power of Attorney — names someone to handle finances during incapacity
  • Healthcare Power of Attorney — names someone to make medical decisions for you
  • Living Will / Healthcare Directive — states end-of-life care wishes

Additional documents — depending on your situation:

  • Revocable Living Trust — avoids probate, manages assets during incapacity
  • Pour-Over Will — catches assets not transferred to trust
  • Trust Certification / Abstract — for banks and title companies
  • HIPAA Authorization — allows named people to access medical records
⚠️  If any of your documents are not yet Signed and Notarized — your plan is incomplete. Every day you wait is another day your family is unprotected.
