Retainer Fee is prepaid and is not refundable unless advance cancelation of the appointment occurs at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. You can prepay all other mobile notary fees using the Services Menu Page, or the notary will collect at the appointment using a convenient mobile payment App. The notary cannot provide or offer any legal advice, and cannot advise you as to which document you may need. Please refer to who requires the notarization to determine whether it's a JURAT or an ACKNOWLEDGMENT. ARTSA can provide a blank form for you to complete, but do not sign it until the notary instructs you to upon verifying your identity. What Type of ID Do You Have?
If this is a General Notary document, the expiration date of any already expired ID must be within the last 5 years. If this notarization relates to a real estate deal, the ID must be valid and unexpired.

Artsa's Cancellation and Refund Policy General notary services are provided at an agreed upon fee and agreed upon location, prior to booking over the Internet and Phone. Mobile notary services are confirmed upon receipt of a retainer fee of an amount based upon miles the notary is expected to travel for the appointment. At Artsa Notary, your time is respected and valued. There is a commitment to delivering efficient and reliable online and mobile notary services. To ensure seamless operations and accommodate all clientele, the following cancellation and refund policy is implemented. Mobile Notary Appointment Retainer A sliding scale retainer based upon miles, is required to secure your mobile notary appointment. This retainer will be applied toward the total cost of your service. Payment can be made at the time of booking, and your appointment will be confirmed once the deposit is received. The balance owed can be paid upon arrival at the agreed appointment time and place, but prior to notarization. No retainer is commanded for remote online notarizations. Cancellations & No Shows Cancellation Notification If you are unable to attend your mobile notary appointment, please notify Artsa’s Notary at least 2 hours in advance. This allows time to make a change of plans regarding driving to an agreed-upon destination, and to offer the time slot to another client. Making a proper cancellation allows for a full refund of the appointment deposit. You can contact the Notary by phone or text message at 731-845-4477, or via email sent to art@artsanotary.com. No-Shows A ‘no-show’ is when the signer does not attend the scheduled mobile notary appointment without prior notice or cancels with less than 2 hours’ notice. In such cases, the appointment retainer will be forfeited for the first occurrence. It is understandable that unexpected circumstances may arise, so we will send a reminder about the missed appointment and offer an opportunity to reschedule. Refunds Refund Eligibility Due to the nature of notary services, completed mobile or remote online notarizations and finalized notary acts are not eligible for a refund. Refunds will be considered only for payments made in advance for services that have not yet been rendered, except for a ‘no-show’. Refundable Circumstances 1. Appointment Cancellation: If you cancel your mobile notary appointment with at least 2 hours’ notice, any advance payment, excluding the non-refundable deposit, will be eligible for a refund. 2. Service Unavailability: If Artsa’s Notary is unable to provide the mobile notary service due to unforeseen circumstances or an issue at Artsa’s end, a full refund, including a paid non-refundable retainer, will be issued. Refund Request To request a refund, please email artsanotary@outlook.com within 3 days of the original payment. Refunds will be processed via the original payment method, though processing times may vary depending upon our mutual financial institutions. Please allow sufficient time for the refund to be reflected in your payment account.

About Added Travel & Travel Time Fees …

  • Travel fees are separate from notarization fees.
  • Reasonable Travel Time and Mileage Fees are calculated from 38329 Zip for Mobile Notary, meeting at a Mutually Agreeable Location.
At first glance, a travel fee of $45 to $65 might seem like a lot to charge, but consider: A mobile notary essentially gives you their time from the moment they leave their base until they return. A notary traveling 50 miles round-trip would justifiably charge more than one traveling only 10. Additionally, the fee covers the cost of fuel, vehicle maintenance, and the opportunity cost of time spent traveling that could have been used for online notary sessions.
