Certified Apostille Agent Services
Do You Know What the Apostille or Authentication Process Demands?
Apostilles authenticate a document’s origins for use in another Hague Convention Treaty country.
An Authentication relates to certified documents intended for use in a non-Hague member country.
ARTSA’S CERTIFIED APOSTILLE AGENT SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE ONLY FOR DOCUMENTS ALREADY ORIGINATING FROM TENNESSEE, OR WILL ORIGINATE (after ARTSA’s Notarization) FROM WITHIN TENNESSEE. THIS IS WHY:
ARTSA’S Certified Apostille Agent Services compliments its Online Notary Services. This is because all documents needing an apostille requires it be a notarized document. (Any documents already notarized should be doubly reviewed for correct form). While acceptance of online notarization grows worldwide, very few countries are currently ready to accept an e-Apostille. Tennessee does accept documents notarized online in preparation for issuing Apostilles. Even with that caveat, just because proper certification is obtained from the appropriate local Clerk of Court and the Secretary of State issues an Apostille, that is NOT a guarantee the country of destination will accept an electronically notarized document, even with the Apostille attached. Asking the right questions is vital in the world of acceptable Apostilles! It’s important to check that down that road being traveled, that online notarizations will be recognized as legal and authentic.
Instead of squandering money for just any Apostille Agent, allow ARTSA to put proven paralegal research skills to work to match individual needs with what you pay for in the end. These are important reasons for allowing ARTSA to be of service. There is a $30 Apostille consultation fee that allows for a review of your documents for both compliance with local and foreign regulations, review of any notarial needs before application, and a reliable cost estimate for a signed and sealed apostille. The consult fee gets applied to future invoicing for the same apostille services ultimately requested.
And with that in mind ...
Relocating to distant shores? Attending or teaching school there? Planning a destination wedding? Establishing a business overseas? Adopting a child born abroad? Have you been asked to present a vital record, like a birth, marriage, or death certificate, to name a few scenarios?
And now, you’ve been asked to provide an Apostille! Where do you go from here?
Do you have the time and patience to make sense of the process, so the puzzling pieces come together into an internationally accepted legal document? It’s a common dilemma! Wasting your time, effort, and expense is not necessary. Would you also want to leave it to chance that another country rejects your most important documents because they could not pass what are often the most stringent requirements?
The steps to acquiring an apostille may seem daunting to many. It comes with unfamiliarity with intricate state and federal protocols. The process requires careful attention to detail and takes multiple steps to ensure compliance with international regulations. Why not seek help from the professional, paralegal-minded, and knowledge-backed services of ARTSA? By opting for expert guidance, it can help ensure documents are handled correctly and give back time for focusing on other important matters of the day.

Notes:
State law does not authorize a notary to certify a copy of your document. A Notary CANNOT certify that a photocopy of a document is a true copy in an acknowledgment. Only the person to whom the document was issued or to whom the document belongs can certify in a written statement that the photocopy is a true copy, Signatories on such a document then obtain notarization while under oath or affirmation.
* Please be aware that for some types of documents to be notarized as an official certified copy, an original custodian is required to be the signer whose affidavit receives notarization. For example, a school’s official (principal/registrar) will issue a copy of a diploma or transcript and sign a statement to the document indicating that it is an original document (or a true and correct copy) issued by the university. This document must be signed in the presence of a notary. ARTSA’s on-call and online notary is available. Foreign Document Translations also made available here.
